Ashraf & Partners Announces Admission to Senior Partners’ Office

We are pleased to announce the admission of Encik Omar Saifuddin Bin Aziz @ Abdul Aziz and Encik Mohamad Khairul Daim Bin Ahmad Shamsuri to the Senior Partners’ Office of Ashraf & Partners, effective 30 June 2025.

Their appointments reflect the firm’s continued commitment to leadership excellence, professional integrity, and the strategic growth of our practice.

Encik Omar Saifuddin Abdul Aziz holds a Bachelor of Business Law with Honours from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, along with a Certificate in Legal Practice.

He is a member of the Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries and has previously served as a company secretary for various organizations.

​

With over 25 years of experience as a Malaysian lawyer and in-house counsel, Omar brings a wealth of expertise in legal and corporate affairs.

​

He has served on the Board of WCC Services Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based WCC Group, a global leader in public and private employment solutions and government ID/security services.

​

Additionally, he has held the position of Assistant General Manager at Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), where he played a key role in shaping the company’s legal strategies and corporate governance.

​

As a private practitioner, Omar has demonstrated strong leadership as the Head of the Practice Group at a renowned Malaysian law firm, further solidifying his reputation in the legal industry.

Mohamad Khairul Daim brings with him over 15 years of distinguished experience in the legal, Shariah, corporate governance and regulatory affairs portfolio.

He is a dual-qualified graduate from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), he holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Shariah) (LL.B_S) (Hons), reflecting a distinct integration of civil and Shariah legal training. His professional credentials include qualification as a Chartered Professional in Islamic Finance (CPIF) and Certified Shariah Advisor (CSA).

Khairul Daim began his career as an advocate and solicitor at one of Malaysia’s leading law firms, where he practiced in capital and debt market, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate & commercial law. He later continued his professional journey as Shariah & legal professional in the Islamic insurance industry. In his last corporate position, he led the Shariah, legal, regulatory affairs, and governance functions.

Khairul Daim complements his legal expertise with a keen business sense, playing a hands-on role in strategic planning, business growth initiatives, intermediary engagement, and product innovation, underscoring his ability to navigate and lead in both legal and commercial domains. Prior to joining Ashraf & Partners, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of a dynamic agency distributing family takaful products.

Khairul Daim is actively involved in professional education and capacity building. He collaborates with industry bodies as a trainer, facilitator, and module reviewer in the areas of takaful, governance, legal, and regulatory compliance. His commitment to industry development is further reflected in his leadership roles, having served on the national council of a professional body and as a committee member in various industry bodies.

Khairul Daim's unique combination of legal acuity and strategic foresight will be instrumental as we strengthen our capabilities in corporate legal services.
